Student Exchange Program

|
The purpose of exchange programmes at CIS is to increase mutual understanding by
means of educational and cultural exchanges. These programmes are one of the most
effective means of developing lasting and meaningful relationships. Through these
programmes, CIS student prepare themselves to live in more culturally diverse society
and offer an competitive edge in college admissions.
The students stay with host families, visit the school, attend a few classes and
interact with the students of the host school. This helps them to compare and contrast
the academics, activities and culture with that of their own school and country.
The students also get an opportunity to visit important cultural and historical
sites in the host country.
CIS and Dwight School New York participated in one such exchange programme
in 2008. The visit was an enriching experience and gave the students a global
perspective. It has paved the way for overseas friendships among our students. We
hope to continue with similar programmes every year.
